Your technique was def better on the 2nd part 😅 I think the 2 barrels might work like the airwrap. Each one is for air flow direction (left and right). So switching them like you did was correct 😊

The barrels are exactly the same one is just for the one side and the other one for the other side

The one barrel curls to the left and the other to the right
