@dailymail: Disabled Australian man Rory Callum Sykes, 32, tragically died after his cottage was destroyed in the LA wildfires on Thursday. Born blind and with cerebral palsy, Sykes lived on his mother's Malibu estate. Despite her desperate attempts to extinguish the flames with a garden hose and calls for help, the fire spread uncontrollably. 'He said mum leave me, and no mum can leave their kid,' she told 10 News. 'And I've got a broken arm - I couldn't lift him, I couldn't move him.' Ms. Sykes drove 400 meters through thick smoke to reach a local fire station, but by the time help arrived, her son had perished. Mr. Sykes had appeared on Australian television as a child, sharing his story to inspire others, and worked as a motivational speaker thereafter. He is among 11 people confirmed dead in the ongoing LA wildfires, which are now in their fifth day. Read more at DailyMail.com. #losangeles #fires #california #news

What if she left him on purpose? Why didn’t they evacuate earlier? Why did she waited it out if she knew she couldn’t lift him asap
