Context because my brain is too overloaded: I have a history of GERD and I am diagnosed with POTS, IST, MCAS, Fibr, and hEDS. I’ve been unable to eat real meals at all for 3 days now and my blood sugar keeps dropping way faster than I’ve ever seen. I also keep getting these horrific stabbing pains that cause my not only pain but a lot of anxiety and adrenaline surges. I went to the ER because I could not manage my symptoms at home anymore, my fatigue and pain are awful and I needed to be able to drink fluids and sleep through the night. They ran standard labs plus an ethanol test (never seen that before with standard testing - and I’m 5 years sober) but ok. Labs are within range. Ok. Doctor said they would do scan if I didn’t improve with meds. They did not to any scans or imaging. The meds did not help. I was given zofran and protonix along with saline. They then discharged me as I cried and I told them the pain had not improved and my headache was getting worse. They gave me a liquid antacid mixed with lidocaine to which I promptly had trouble swallowing and then sent me home. They got blood everywhere while taking my IV out. They took my blood pressure once. I’m just so angry not at the nurses or staff but the doctor took 0 time to look at my chart and to have any understanding.
