We put all our nail trims in lateral restraint so this doesn’t happen unless they are brachiocephalic 😂 pony nail trims suckkkk it’s like working with a small horse bucking

I’m so thankful for you though, we have to sedate our dog AND yall have to hold him down for us to go them 🙃 we literally can’t do them ourselves even though we did as a puppy

i LOVE nail trims ! if a dog is that bad they get sent home with a chill protocol period. my doctor won’t let us fight them like that it’s not worth the stress on us and the pet

I agree! So many pets are unruly and difficult to do the important parts of our job let alone have to do a nail trim on them. It’s always the most important part to the owner not the medical things…

My vet won’t even attempt it on my hound. He’s so big and strong and it’s not worth sedating him every time he needs a trim. So we just let him file them down naturally. It’s not that big of a deal.
