I have seen videos on TikTok, where they get stuck/confused at intersections. The one was @ intersection, were flashing all red (stop) due to power outage. The people inside didn’t know what to do.😳

I feel like it will make a lot more sense when ALL vehicles are autonomous. I know that sucks, but really if all vehicles were communicating with each other reliably, there would never be issues.

To answer your questions: 1. In an emergency, Waymo will have a human take over, mainly ML driven 2. Waymo cars cost millions. The pixel accurate LiDaR is expensive, but vision driven systems are 1/2
