It’s called patina in house decor. You should always have a “patina” something. Not literal patina but old and textured like driftwood wood, an antique box, old brass candlesticks.

Vintage or loved - I always feel like they have pulled every item out of their personal closet. There’s thought behind it, but it feels like pieces they’ve had for ages. Not a styled in some way.
