Day 6 of 75 soft🧸 The reason a lot of people falter when it comes to starting positive habits is that it's easier to fall out of your habit than it is to build one. Have you ever started consistently going to the gym? You even think "wow it's been almost 2 weeks and I'm still showing up!" But then you skip one day and the whole thing falls apart? It's because you were building your foundation, each day of consistency is a brick, you skipped a day, now the thing falls. That's not to say that you can't skip a day and still show up later, but you will find that it's harder, you will think to yourself "ah but I skipped yesterday, I feel good, today is my rest day normally... next week I will go back." That is why you lack motivation, because it isn't always motivation, it's mostly habit, routine is paramount. Here's how to build a positive habit, like negative habits, there's an incentive, a reward, a positive reinforcement. Why do you think people struggle to quit smoking? It's a habit, and it's a habit they get a high from. So treat your positive habits, the same. Write a schedule, give yourself routine and structure, show up, and when you do, treat yourself. It's that easy. I like to get myself a coffee, sometimes a protein shake. Not every day because that can add up financially lol (but if you can then go for it), at the end of every week if l've met my goals l'll get myself a treat! The treat can even be getting your nails done, it can be anything. For me when I first started, the reward was my physical progress as well. it took about 2 months to see any progress physically, so it takes time, but seeing your hard work payoff is the biggest reward you can ask for. Good luck! #healthyhabits #75soft #75hard
