@floriangadsby: My YouTube video this weekend is about a few things, first, it covers fixing one of these wire tools I use for separating the pots from the wheel-head. Then I move onto throwing mugs properly, a terrible, rusty process, as I haven’t sat at the wheel to throw receptively in weeks and weeks, I discuss feeling a little burnt out and how I try to get past it and share a few tips and tricks along the way I use to make throwing easier. Little things, such as why I leave the dry skim of clay on the wheel-head and lastly, how I compress the rim as I lift up the walls if I’ve centred poorly, it’s incredible what you can get away with and I’ll be the first to admit that when making mugs in large batches like this, I do sometimes rush the centring to speed things up.
