Don’t pay for anything they would have had to pay for anyway. Car rental and house rental would have been necessary for them anyway. Otherwise they are using you to reduce their costs.

This has always been my experience. The kids invited do not pay. They are treated like another child of that parent. No bills afterward.

I grew up in a lower left income family BUT my mother always covered my friends expenses if we invited them. we couldn't afford big Vacas but for movies or dinner my mom always paid.
