If I had a bakery, these would definitely be on the menu 🥯🍓 I don’t know what took me so long to try sourdough bagels, but I can’t stop making them. Today I made Raspberry bagels with a maple cinnamon cream cheese and Truffle Cheddar black pepper bagels with garlic herb cream cheese. I think my favorite flavors thus far are raspberry & cheddar jalepeno 🧀🌶️ Sourdough bagels recipe ✍🏽 Makes 6 large or 8 smaller bagels (I split the recipe into 2 bowls for this video to make half raspberry flavor)  *   100 g Sourdough Starter/Discard *   300 g Room Temp Water *   2 tsp Maple Syrup or Honey *   2 tsp Salt *   500 g All Purpose Flour * For blueberry or raspberry: I usually make half the recipe a berry flavor, like in this video. I split the dough recipe above into 2 bowls so I can make different flavors from one batch. For the berry compote I add 1/2 cup berries, 1/2 cup water, 1 tbsp flour, & 1 tbsp maple syrup to a sauce pan to simmer for 10 min. Let it cool before adding to your dough. If you want a full berry bagel recipe, just double (1 cup berries).  Make the dough the night before you want to bake. Combine the sourdough, water, syrup, and salt together in a large bowl. Add the flour and knead until well combined. It should be sticky but not too sticky. Cover the bowl and let sit at room temp overnight or 8-12 hours.  In the morning, divide the dough and shape into 6 or 8 equal-sized balls. Place on a baking sheet with parchment paper to rest while you prepare the water bath.  Preheat oven to 425F and bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add 1 tbsp baking soda and 1 tbsp maple syrup.  Before boiling, make a hole in the middle of each bagel. I poke + slightly stretch the center. Letting the bagels rest before making the hole gives a fluffier, bakery style bagel. (Trust me)  Boil the bagels in batches of 3 at a time for 2 minutes on each side. Use a slotted spoon to place the bagels on your prepared baking sheet.  Optional: I like to brush some melted butter on stop. Now add any toppings such as seeds or cheese.  Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden.  Enjoy ☺️ #sourdough #sourdoughbagels
