@tdotindiemusic: My walk with God kinda came to a halt a couple of months ago. My heart posture has remained in tact and I had zero doubt that I would find my way back. But it has been difficult and truthfully still is. Starting a new path and learning that some Christians talk a great game but don’t walk the words they are preaching, has been difficult as a new believer. I have been someone who does pride themselves at being able to look at both sides of a situation so I’m learning to apply that here. Nobody is perfect. We strive to be like God or at least the best versions of ourselves if you aren’t a believer. And as long as you are trying and learn from mistakes, that’s a great thing. I have zero right to evaluate what you are doing, but I am able to choose to be around you or not. My mistake was putting too much faith and belief in some people and not God himself. My mistake was relying upon a community when I should be turning to God and my own personal relationship with him. I have walked away from a community that I loved for self preservation and to hold onto the walk that I am on. To say that I am excited and scared to dive back in, well yeah, that isn’t really going to convey just what I’m presently going through. I had to record this clip three separate times because of trembling, etc then had to compose myself and wipe away the tears as this is the first time I’m settling in to get back into the word. I may be unrealistic, but I’m going to do my best to have read the New Testament (up to the end of the World stuff … I need some time before I dig into that) by May 30th. Why? Because that’s when I’m going to Florida to get Baptized. Yup! I have every intention of getting Baptized by my good friend, surrounded by my small community at Golden Hour in the ocean followed by another good friend singing O Come To The Altar as well as other worship songs on the beach. Yup. Crying again. Gotta say, this walk with God has been an emotional one … and I love it. 🙏🏼🕊️ #WalkwithGod #bible #belief #community #faith #baptism #grateful
