My SIL has just been given a council bungalow and it's really brought home to me what an absolute state your council left your house in. Her bungalow has had a "full reset" the council called it and they do this for all their properties. Basically they've skimmed all the walls and completely redecorated throughout. Kitchen and bathroom replaced because they're 10+ years old. New internal doors, skirting board and coving. Literally all she needs to do is put flooring in. If our council can do that what's your council's excuse?
