The tiling was imported from Germany alright.At the front door there is a mistake and K's appear in certain places as Colman (St Colman's Cathedral) is spelt with a K in German.

That is the broken cross of Peter, when he was been crucified he did not feel he was worthy to be crucified the same way as Jesus so they broke his limbs and crucified him on a cross like that.
