Last time I took the TikTok advice to clean that filter and empty the drain something was wrong with the way the filter went back in and flooded my basement. It felt like it was in correct 😅

FYI... some washing machines have a microban coating on the gaskets to prevent mold. They do NOT recommend using Clorox or any harsh chemicals on them

You can also usually remove that filter door too which can make it easier to get the water into the container.
