I filmed this around december last year. My overall feelings of unwellness started off mild, and grew much worse until it got to the point that it was so crippling. I decided to tell one of my friends about it few months after and he advised me to seek medical help. I had never imagined myself seeing a therapist, but that’s exactly what I did. And along with speaking to a therapist and loved ones, I received anxiety medications and antidepressants. I was at the verge of losing hope. I didn’t know if all those would actually work on me, but still, I trusted the process. Even at my lowest, I held out hope that something would help. Even if I only experienced few minutes of normalcy a day, those couple of minutes are still worth living. It’s been a little over 5 months since I started seeking professional help. It wasn’t an easy ride. I’m still not back at 100%. Maybe 90%, maybe 80%, it’s hard to say. Each week is better, I must say, though there are relapse periods and down days which, sometimes, makes me think that I’m back to square one again. But having had an amazing support system has helped me tremendously, along with my own optimism to recover.
