@vithyavisvendra: I genuinely avoid family events because this is the questions I get: “Why don’t you have kids?” “Who will look after you when you are old?” or one uncle even suggested that if I don’t give my husband kids, that he will leave me! I cannot conceive, and to be honest we don’t want kids either, but what about the women who actually suffer from not being able to have any, or the women who don’t want any children? Are we not enough? Can we not look after ourselves? Live a fulfilling and complete life? Also, I wouldn’t want kids just to have them to look after my husband and I when we are super old. This is why I try my best to be fit and healthy mentally and physically, and also work hard so I can afford to live my life to the fullest and plan for a future where I don’t depend on anyone. So to all you women out there who have all these societal pressures, just try and ignore them. Be happy! You are enough!!!
