Totally get why you went and got it drained properly. I had to drain my pilonidal abscess at home and it was traumatising to say the least 😅

I’m interested in why the gp didn’t just lance that and put you on antibiotics. I’ve been treating mine myself at how and just keep draining it? Did they put you on iv antibiotics or something?

I’ve been in your exact position! The worst. Went to the doctors, then went to the ER! The pain is unbearable… but my nail also fell off and had to regrow and my skin around it felt like jelly for day
