I have this sinking feeling in my gut that we are either the first, or the last.

there are two possibilities. we are not alone in the universe or we are alone in the universe. both are equally terrifying

If you ask me, just us being here alone is proof there is a creator!!

it's not just the chance of intelligent life forming, it's also avoiding massive natural extinction level events such as huge meteor impacts. 4 billion years is a long time to avoid that sort of thing

Could it be true that life exists but the light has yet to reach us so we are seeing the planet as it was in the past?

One civilisation per galaxy, that’s good odds. There are more than a trillion galaxies in the observable universe, so that’s a lot of civilisations out there.

in qoran God says He created 7 space and 7 earth, when word 7 in Arabic also means "many", so I believe that there are other living planets like earth

I think there are plenty of intelligent beings out there, we're just too far away to contact them.

However... time does flow differently on other planets. There are some where 4billion years would pass far far quickly than 4billion years to us

Logically, we have taken till now to be where we are and all the other galaxies are younger than ours. The chances of them being as developed as much as us is zero

would another argument be that atoms throughout the universe can create intelligent life forms faster? For instance every 100 million years intelligent life can come into existence after the first

My belief is that things almost have to be near perfect to sustain life. I also believe intelligent life forms can only exist in conditions we experience on earth, and what are the chances of that?

Even if there is life on another planet- we will never see it - space is expanding at the speed of light

True but complicated life fires such as bacteria take much longer to form from matter than thinking life evolving from bacteria.

What about the early years of the universe after the Big Bang. Apparently the universe was 0-50 degrees warm so there is a theory that life thrived IN space. And also where life started.
