@mssundaycation: Place as Portrait: Colombia Shot on Film with Pentax K1000 In 2022, I travelled to Colombia for 10 days, yet it felt like I had experienced a month’s worth of adventures. I wanted to capture and share the beauty of people and atmosphere. At the time, I was going through depression and grief, immensely disconnected from myself and my friends. Colombia allowed me to reconnect on a deeper level with others and be treated as just another human versus a human product of my skills and accomplishments in a metropolitan, hectic city where you have to prove yourself and compete every day. All the friends I made and people I met daily, if not every hour, were incredible. The surrounding art and nature are inspiring. The history is tough with a resilient community. After just 2 days in Colombia, I was open and receptive to the world again.
