So agree. 2 years on still grieving. No one gets it. They are our children as we couldn’t have our own they fill that void.

Yes I hate that. And the instant "will you get a new cat dog etc".. excuse me, do I go get a new dad if he passes? They are family!

My cat passed away when i was single & living alone with him. My area manager (big boss) at Sydney Convention/exhibition Centre at the time mocked me for taking a day off work to grieve…(1)

I just said goodbye to 2 of my pups in 6 weeks. They were 15 and 16yo chihuahuas and while some people have been very supportive, quite a few were “gee that’s terrible….so will you get another dog?”

The only time in 18 years my dog was away from us was when he was being cremated. It's still a struggle.

Nearly 3 months and some days it’s like losing her all over again as you suddenly think of something she use to do and realise you’ll never see that’s again. It’s so hard, she was with me 14 years and it’s crazy to my mind still that she’s no longer here 😢

Lost my 13 yo bc in July. Christmas was especially hard without her. People just assume I’m over it but I still cry sometimes and think about how she’d love places I visit.
