Get a battery for that smoke detector immediately. Then turn the water off to the house and run a construction heater in your crawl space to thaw out your pipes. Get an hvac company out there asap.

I’m pretty sure your pipes need to be insulated. Google some things to help with frozen pipes and see what you can do but you need heat and warm water. This will keep happening unless addressed.

The state I live in each city/town has a program that gives each homeowner of low income a major repair to their home for free. It looks like your state does too. It’s called emergency home repair.

get home warranty we pay $40 a month and covers pipes, hvac and more. our AC went out and we paid the $150 deductible instead of getting a new one for 5k definitely worth it

Where in Michigan are you from? I’m in Michigan and we haven’t had that much snow yet but it’s definitely too cold to play around with not having heat. There are also programs through DTE/ 1(2)
