They are only supposed to ask when you have unbagged items, but you can refuse and keep walking. If you refuse, they are supposed to just say "Thank you for shopping at Walmart"

Used to lived in a sorta rough part of town, receipt checkers would dig in your bags. Now it takes less than 5 seconds whenever they occasionally check my receipt. Not a big deal. Y’all cry too much
