Girl if your hair is virgin hair and it’s long, Thats how it will turn out curled at the back. I made same hairstyle too and Thats how mine turned out coz I have a long virgin hair. Initially i thought it was from my braider but I made research and realized that it’s coz I have a naturally curly long virgin hair, so please don’t be too hard on your braider. I suggest you stretch your hair next time you want to make French curls coz that’s what I’ll do when next I want to make French curls

I honestly think for our natural hair, it’s more advisable to stretch out the hair by blow drying before making it. My curl pattern at the back is tighter, so I think it makes it curl up.
