Your body will enter starvation mode and your metabolism will slow, making it harder for your body to lose weight, and when you do eat more or binge, you will gain significant weight back. You will also find the urge to binge more irresistible. ❆ Only allow yourself to consume content that aligns with your goals. Unfollow any accounts that will trigger your urge to binge or that will give you an excuse to do so. If you want to lose weight, watch creators that will support your journey rather than hinder it. ❆ Set a reasonable goal. Try not to set long term goals like “I’ll never binge again”. It’s unrealistic and will feel unreachable as soon as you have cravings again. Try not to give the possibility of binging too much power. If you build up in your head the amount of power that food and binging has over you, it will control you. Food is not your enemy, it is working for YOU—you are not a slave to food. ❆ Remind yourself of the reasons not to binge. Make a list of reasons not to binge and remind yourself of them every time you feel the urge. Also watch TikToks of people that inspire you not to binge. When you feel the urge to binge, it can feel like you’ve already given up before you’ve even eaten the first bite, but just tell yourself “even if I do decide to go ahead and binge anyway, I’m just going to watch my saved collection of inspiration on TikTok first”.
