It feels like no matter what I do I’m wrong 😞 If I ask questions I’m challenging their authority, I speak directly I’m emotional, but I try to speak in their methods and suddenly I’m “too faced” 😖

My trained hypervigilance turns off around ppl I get comfortable with, then I get blindsided by a “you should have just known!” and boy that’s distressing

Phrases I use every week "When you said that, I understood it as this. Correct?" and "This is not an attack or accusation. It is an attempt to understand." It's annoying but effective...usually

my boss will say something like "we need to do..." and most times it actually means "we" but sometimes it means "you" and then he comes to get the thing he apparently told me to do and I'm like 🤷

Husband and I both ND, but we each display different aspects of learned NT communication which causes issues. We receive language like NT, but intermix speaking like ND. Leads to confusion and hurt

They react upset like that because it causes inflammation and they don’t know how to respond without being triggered. That’s why glutamate balance is so important to help round off impulses.

I somewhat agree but it’s situational. The direct indirectness is an out. If no one is looking or witnessing, these same people have no hesitation to be direct.

I’d like to fully understand this but it’s getting confusing after “why didn’t you tell her to…”. I misunderstood and get misunderstood way alot at work and being called naive, in a unserious manner
