I have a lab, she’ll flop on the ground, ask for a pet and then walk you right on in. My husband got her thinking she would be “protective.” 🤦♀️. This thing has never met a stranger she didn’t love

Dalmatian momma here he will bite unknown ppl if they come up 2 the house. My bully she’ll just bark but the dal will bite without warning. I always put the dal up if ppl will bcoming he doesn’t know

I have Standard Poodles now & I also love & have had Rotties. While Rotties bite is stronger. My poodles are just as protective, as my Rotties were. I read some described them as a Doberman with curls

As a long time standard poodle owner, you are absolutely correct! They were originally bred to hunt & guard, my poor UPS guy is scared to death of my sweet 🐩

Love standard poodles! Agreed on Dalmatians & Chihuahuas. Grandpa had a wolf-dog that would hide, let you get on the porch, knock on the door & then jump you, you couldn’t hear him coming.
