Jack Reed (D-RI), the ranking member of the Armed Services Committee, on Tuesday said he could not support former Fox News host Pete Hegseth to be the next Defense secretary. “Mr. Hegseth, I do not believe that you are qualified to meet the overwhelming demands of this job,” Sen. Reed said in his opening statement at Mr. Hegseth’s confirmation hearing. Sen.
