Common advice is to just say 'circle your legs' when trying to learn the treading water, or 'eggbeater' legs. But have you actually tried that? Doesn't really work... Really, the 'eggbeater' legs are just alternating Breaststroke kicks, one leg at a time, slightly overlapping. Simple! But, do you know what? If you master your hand-connection with the water (sculling), you actually don't need to do much kicking at all, and the eggbeater legs are really overrated (and too much emphasis is often placed on them, making people lose their focus on the hands!). However, if you are someone who is very dense (a Type-4/Dense body type in my system) and if you don't float naturally, then the eggbeater legs can actually become more important. FREE FOUNDATIONS COURSE 🐬 I'm working on a free learn-to-swim Foundations course (7-lessons). My goal is to help as many adults as I can learn to swim around the world! The project is growing into something huge, and you can find out more about what will be covered, and sign up completely for free, here at www.confidentswimming.com/course What would you like to see next? See you in the pool! #swimming #swimmingtips #watersafety #adultswimming #learntoswim
