@listnrnewsroom: "I was perhaps too harsh on Dutton." As the federal election campaigns unofficially officially kick off, the battle between PM Anthony Albanese and opposition leader Peter Dutton is heating up. This week both major parties have revealed the campaign slogan they hope will win Australians over: “Get Australia Back on Track” is the Coalition's offering, while Labor has gone with more classic line: “Building Australia’s future”. On this morning's episode of The Briefing, Bension Siebert caught up former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to get his verdict on which campaign slogan hits the mark, what they reveal about how the major parties see Australians, and what he really thinks about Dutton as a leader. 🎧The Briefing: An ex-PM reveals the truth behind our newest election campaign slogans #auspol #federalelection #malcolmturnbull #peterdutton #anthonyalbanese #campaignslogans #thebriefing #podcast

"He's been in politics for a long time." TOO long. Time for career politicians to go. We need new ideas, not people set in their way.😁

Fair play to Turbull for admitting he may have overcooked his assessment of Dutton.

Voting for someone because they well 'might grow into the job" doesn't sound like much of a plan 😓 Nevertheless, Dutton is ahead in the polls for 2PP and has demonstrated with the Voice campaign that he is a much better campaigner than Albo, capable of mobilising far superior social media black-ops, etc. If Dutton can get people look past the policy vacuum, he's our next PM.
