This isn’t true, the best iso is the one that gives you the most accurate exposure in camera. Increasing the exposure in post production will introduce a lot more noise than shooting at a higher ISO

Every sensor was designed differently and each has a different perfect speed for itself this is also true for film.

But base iso is not the lowest, when you will use lower iso numbers you will not have sharp immages becouse senzor will nit have enought power, some cameras have two base isos like sony a7iv (800,3600
