Oli and Lekhak — arrested for the killings of protesters — walked free within weeks on a court order. The same old guard now holds rallies, challenges the government openly, and shows zero fear. Zero. Because they know the system still protects them. A government that arrests corrupt leaders on Monday and watches them walk by April isn't running an iron fist. It's running theatre. If Nepal is serious about breaking the cycle, soft-touch democracy has to give way — for now — to a government willing to press the courts, press the old parties, press anyone standing between Nepal and accountability. A pot isn't shaped by being asked nicely. It's shaped under pressure, then fired in the kiln. Nepal has been asked nicely for 30 years.
