@imperidox_: Today, I had the pleasure of discovering Le Jardin Secret, a tranquil oasis hidden in the heart of Marrakech’s bustling medina. 🌿 This extraordinary place, with roots in the Saadian Dynasty over 400 years ago, was originally a grand palace. Rebuilt in the 19th century by a powerful tribal leader from the Atlas Mountains, it later became home to influential political figures, including the chancellor of Sultan Moulay ‘Abd-al-Hāfiz. The gardens are a breathtaking blend of traditional Islamic paradise designs and exotic flora from around the world. What fascinated me most was the ingenious 11th-century khettara water system, an ancient underground channel that still provides water to this day – a testament to the advanced engineering of the time.
