Craft Beer Paradise: Exploring the Breweries of St. Pete, Fort Lauderdale Save for your trip to St. Pete! St. Petersburg, Florida is well known as a craft beer lover's paradise in recent years. This vibrant city on Florida's Gulf Coast offers much more than just beautiful beaches and sunny weather; it's also home to a thriving craft beer scene. With an abundance of breweries throughout the city, St. Pete has become a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts. St. Pete is my favourite Florida city, and we always try to visit new breweries during each trip, as well as return to some of our favs. Shown here are: Bayboro Brewing Co. - We really liked this veteran-owned local brewery. We tried some of the local crafts while enjoying the live band and taking in the local artwork lining the walls. The interior is large but there is also a large dog-friendly outdoor beer garden as well. If I Brewed the World - Not my favourite. The brewery was very small and aside from some board games(which most breweries offer) and a cool mural out front, there was really nothing to capture my attention inside. They DID offer some fun beer flavors, including Butterbeer, Berry Crunch, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Pinella's Ale House (P.A.W.) - Dog themed brewery with a unique beer list offering 30+ uniquely named and flavored beers and ciders. P.A.W. hosts weekly and monthly animal charity events and adoption events (the first time I visited here, I came THISCLOSE to coming home with a new dog). This brewery is my personal favorite - dogs and beer - what more could you ask for! Cage Brewing - This brewery was a surprise - from the outside, it looks very small and simple. You walk into a very small room with a bar and a couple of tables. However, walk through the double doors and there is an entire back taproom, which is full of pinball machines, olds school video games, cornhole, foosball, etc. And from there, walk out into a HUGE dog friendly outdoor area with tables, a large grass space, murals and a large band for live music. Aside from the breweries pictured here, another of my personal favorites is Cycle Brewing, a bicycle themed brewery with colorful murals, local art and actual bikes. A few local favorites that are probably best known and definitely worth checking out - Green Bench Brewery, 3 Daughters Brewery and St. Pete Brewing. Happy hopping!
