its an instinct they have to take their food to a safer place to eat. they developed this so they wouldnt fight with other pack members so rlly he doesnt wanna share with anyone thats why

my dog does the exact same thing he never eats by the bowl he fills his whole mouth and then runs to a room😭

sometimes my dog would do this if he was eating in the kitchen alone he’d bring his food in his mouth to the living room where we were at & eat there i miss him sm

my dog takes a mouthful of food to the carpet and drops all the kibble out then eats them one by one and if no one is in the room she’s eating in she will take it to another room where someone is😭

I think it’s the bowl? I know cats do this too because of their whiskers touching the bowl and it’s irritating. I think it’s similar to dogs too🤷♀️just a guess
