I used to finish cabinets! You definitely used too much oil in the first couple videos which is causing the wood to swell. Let it dry out in a windowsill for a week or two! Use a rag for applying oil!

I make cutting boards and the small bottle usually finishes 10-15 boards doing multiple coats on each. End grain will soak up everything if not sanded with a super fine grit.

so when you add a lot of moisture to wood it expands almost like a sponge causing stress on the grain and pieces of wood. by the loks of it that's multiple kinds of woods which absorb moisture 1/2
