May not look like it, but it works every time 👇🏼 Walk to either side of the fountain, and look for the corner in the video (there’s one on each side!). This is the perfect spot for a photo because... 1️⃣ Most tourists try to get photos facing the fountain straight on, and avoid this corner alltogether. Even at peak times like when I filmed this reel, these two corners are almost always empty. In a worst-case scenario, you’ll have to wait for one person ahead of you, and that’s it; 2️⃣ This corner gives you the *perfect* angle to see the fountain very well without showing the crowds on the other side or around you. If you move more to the left side of this spot, you’ll start seeing the people on the opposite side of the fountain, in the back. And if you move to the right, the people on the left side of you will start showing in your frame. 3️⃣ The ledge on both sides of this corner creates what’s called ‘leading lines’ in photography. This is a composition technique that draws the attention of people’s eyes to the subject that the natural lines in the photo are pointing to - in this case, you. Even if the entire Trevi Fountain area was empty, I’d still recommend taking a photo here! I’ve taken photos in this exact corner throughout the years, and the most I had to wait was a couple of minutes for one other person to get their photos. There’s never a line here, and it remains mostly empty even when thousands of people are around. It might seem like it’s impossible, but TRUST ME on this one. It works like a charm every single time. #rome #trevifountain #travel @ professional.traveler
