I think I got this. 605.1b says it has to meet ALL criteria to be a mana ability. So for the first activation of mana from Caged Sun's new intrinsic land ability, that would cause it to have 1/2

Reading all this it sounds like the first trigger would be an MA but the next aren't. 1 trigger is from an ActMA 2nd onwards trigger from a triggered ability.
