Having a metal bar up against your leg is a recipe for disaster unless it has an excellent gearbox. If the available torgue is high enough, and the auger hits a decent rock, it will break your leg or destroy your knee.

For everyone hating, I have a cheaper one of these (Ozito brand) only 18v and it bores all dirt and clay without issue, rocks obviously not but neither will a petrol one
