Adorable! She's most likely decompressing from her trauma now that she feels safe. My rescue did the same thing with her kennel and we left the door open 🥰

Don’t worry she will come around. It can take weeks before they trust their surroundings. Just keep giving her treats when she moves a little.

My old girl sat in the kitchen for 3 days after I picked her up. I would just go in and sit with her on the rug for a while then give her space for a lil while. 2 years later and she runs the house🤣

dogs don't understand our version of "right and wrong" so a lot of times when people punish them they don't understand, and less confident dogs will be very afraid to try new things 🥺

Is she food motivated? I’d start making treat trails. Start in the living room and gently praise her as she eats the treats. Make it a high-reward item like a trainer treat. Trail them around.

If you have a friend with a calm, social dog, bringing them over can give her confidence, if they see that dog exploring, being petted.

Her sleeping is a good thing. She's decompressing. My rescue was asking for permission from me. I had to walk her thru the house on a leash. She's so cute. ❤️🥰❤️
