You probably wouldn't have heard it, even if you didn't have a sound machine. It just makes a crackling sound. And because it didn't fall, no shattering noise.

Try and cover with contact paper. Much easier to remove.

Our glas sliding door completely shattered and while my son was showering! Glass everywhere, he had to go for 3stitches! It was so scary! So now we have 1 door & a showed curtain. Still looking4glass

back in the 70's Della Reese walked through a plate glass window almost killed her. windows changed after that

I had that and it shattered all over the floor. I was just glad no one was in there at the time. I hired a glass company to replace it. Never found out why it happened.

I’m in CA, the stationary part of our sliding glass door shattered. We found out that our foundation spacer/shims were rotted from water damage . We had to have the house jack up and those spacers had to be replaced. It’s the weight of the house shifting.

It’s safety glass, it’s supposed to stay together when it breaks. But yikes, so scary 😱

Put masking tape or painters tape all over it and call your local glass company.
