@winnidesigns: 🚨BRACING🚨The next step to pouring this Element ICF corner is to first brace it. We need to make sure it is secure to the ground and the house above and we need to make her it perfectly plumb. Next we will pour the concrete mix! @Makita Tools USA #construction #homerenovation #renovation #DIY #realestate #design #entrepreneur #tools #remodel #interiordesign #carpentry #woodworking #diy
we in Europe put the concrete first then we build the house

There is no way this is better than just using regular concrete forms

This seems inefficient and alot of material for a concrete pour. I question this choice of build and thermal properties can be achieved with similar methods.

Aren't ICF's supposed to be able to handle wet concrete without midwall bracing?

when money,Time, materials are of no concern and you still have to pour with soup because there is no way to get good concrete in there.

Why would you build the entire structure before filling the ICF forms with concrete?

Would have been quicker to form it with wood 😅

As an actual construction inspector only complaint is verticals aren’t tied in. Just set in the same area so would be non conformance. Assume holes are for consolidation but should be poured down each

if you're going to spend that much money in wood, might as well just frame it with 2x6, plywood then add 2 inches of rigid foam outside 👌👌
