@buildtomade: If you’re dealing with drafts, rain, or melted snow sneaking into your garage, I might have just the solution: thermoplastic garage door weather stripping. It’s a bit tricky to find but is usually located near the end cap aisles in stores (it's more expensive online than in stores - check my link in bio). It comes in a variety of colors and lengths, typically 9 ft and 7 ft pieces. I spent $75 to cover both of my garage bays. To install, I also picked up 1⅝” brown ring-shanked panel nails to match my trim. These nails grip better than smooth ones, and I pre-nailed every foot to speed up installation. Starting at the top of the garage door, I worked my way down the sides, overlapping the strips slightly. I recommend securing the top, middle, and bottom first to keep the strip aligned before nailing the rest. You might need to adjust things a bit as you go. Finally, I sealed the edge between the strip and door jamb with exterior caulk, wiping off any excess with a damp cloth. This project made a big difference, and I hope it helps anyone looking to keep their garage better protected. Cheers!

Don't use ring shank nails during the winter on vinyl seals, those nails are designed for wood and have a high chance of breaking the plastic you're nailing into.

I have these but my doors aren't flush against the sides as the track wheels have some wiggle room so light comes through still. any tips to fix that?

and the 4 inch gap at the bottom 😆. you want the seal to be about a quarter inch longer than needed. it will flatten out as you nail
