@pativites: Getting vertigo exploring high steel bridge in Washington state. On the edge of Olympic National forest, down an old gravel road, lie’s this behemoth of a bridge. located in Mason County, Washington, spanning the South Fork of the Skokomish River. Built in 1929 by the Simpson Logging Company, it was initially designed to support logging operations. At 420 feet above the river, it is one of the tallest bridges in Washington. Side note- the bridge shakes when trucks drive on it! And if you’re go during the day you most likely will see some trucks passing. #explore #photography #photographer #adventure #travel #exploremore #highsteelbridge #washington #pnw #pnwadventures #pnwwonderland #washingtonstate #Outdoors #pacificnorthwest #forest #adventurer #olympicnationalforest #nature
