i can’t believe i thought those excruciating menstrual cramps were totally normal for years! my tolerance must've been sky-high 🥴. march 2023 the day i discovered a 9cm ovarian cyst on my left ovary and surgery was the only option. after undergoing laparoscopic surgery i was diagnosed with endometriosis and the only way to lessen the pain/symptoms is to get pregnant quickly🥹. obv not ready to be a mom but to think back no one is ready to be a parent. just have to make it happen and go with the flow. so anyways i got myself checked on aug 2022 and i regret thinking there’s nothing wrong with my body🥹 i might have been able to avoid the surgery if i had it checked earlier but i’m also relieved that i did get it checked because it had the potential to grow up to 35cm🥲 normally, my cramps only on first day of my period. but early last year, it lasted till day 3. that’s when I knew something wasn't right. and i still continue going to work thinking it’s normal 💀 the idea of an operation scared me to bits. i mean, who wants to go through that right? but i did it , a keyhole surgery that brought me closer to relief and made me appreciate my health so much more. 💪🏻 now, i want to raise awareness about endometriosis and the importance of listening to our bodies. endometriosis affects women of all ages, often leading to fertility issues and impacting daily life. it's a condition that demands greater awareness, understanding, and support. by sharing my journey, i hope to inspire others to listen to their bodies, seek medical advice, and advocate for their health. anyways it’s day 20 after my surgery , i’m finally walking properly with confidence . there’s still pain from time to time but i’m feeling better each day. #listentoyourbody #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness
