This is the scariest thing to do in Sri Lanka! 😱 The Ambuluwala Tower is a religious site for Buddhists but more popular for its spiral staircase to the top of the tower. You pay an entrance fee of 2,000 LKR per person ($7 USD) plus you need a tuktuk ride up to the tower for 1,500 LKR ($5 USD) for go and come back. The Ambuluwawa tower is located on top of a hill. You can also walk up but that is about 1.5h hike on a very steep road full of ferocious monkeys! So it is worth taking a tuktuk. Next to the tower there ia also a swing and and small cafe. The cafe has also epic views but of course the top of the tower gives you 360 degrees views of the whole region! A thrilling experience because this is not for the faint hearted. The climb to the top is very easy, just 5 minutes stairs, but it is pretty scary. The very narrow staircase makes you realize several times why you are doing this. Dont look down when afraid of heights but the rewards on top is an unbelievable view of the rolling green hills of Sri Lanka! ❤️🇱🇰 #srilanka #srilankan_tik_tok🇱🇰
