@aventurapreneur: 🚨 Why Your Ears Hurt When You Dive – And How to Fix It! 🚨 Description: Ever felt that painful pressure in your ears when diving deeper? That’s because as you descend, the water pressure increases, while the pressure inside your middle ear stays the same—causing discomfort or even pain. To fix this, you need to equalize the pressure. Here’s how: ✔️ Jaw Flex Method – Open your jaw slightly with lips closed while descending. This naturally opens the Eustachian tubes, allowing pressure to equalize. ✔️ Valsalva Maneuver – Pinch your nose and gently blow out through your nose. This forces air into your middle ear, balancing the pressure. ✔️ Toynbee Maneuver – Pinch your nose and swallow. This helps open your Eustachian tubes using muscle movement. 📌 Pro Tip: Start equalizing before you feel discomfort and do it every few feet as you descend. The deeper you go, the more frequently you’ll need to adjust. Freediving is all about technique, control, and understanding your body. Master this, and your dives will feel effortless! 🌊 Follow for more freediving tips and adventure content! #FreedivingTips #Equalization #DivingTechniques #UnderwaterExploration #FreedivingScience #OceanLife
