@synn0h: i haven’t really posted in a long time, partially i think it was a fear of showing myself to the world, even behind a screen like this—another issue, one i think i have been plagued with my whole life, is feeling like i have nothing but time. as the years have passed on, and the ban of the only place i’ve managed to cultivate a platform of people who earnestly, and kindly engage with my content, regardless of how cringeworthy or depressing or whatever you’d call it dawns, i realized that again i have again fallen for the same trap that has stilled me into inaction, i’ve ran out of time. so while this ban looms over our heads, i wanted to speak my mind a little more candidly then i normally do, and thank you guys for engaging with me, commenting under my posts, and being kind to each other on my page, although this account is relatively inactive now, i really do think the response from you guys did change my life, it got me back into reading, writing, and self expression, something, a part of myself i had smothered out during my teenage years, so seriously, from the bottom of my heart thank you all. additionally i kind of wanted to just put my thoughts out here for a final time, above is a collection of things i have collected over the months and never got the courage to post, but more importantly i would love to use my tiny voice in the chaos, to implore you to read the works of james baldwin, specifically his essay “The Stranger in the Village” and his novel “Go Tell it On the Mountain”. i would also love if any of you feel a passion towards reading or writing, to dig deeper into that passion, and if you’re in college, to take an english course and earnestly engage with the education that’s in front of you, it sincerely has changed my life in so many intangible positive ways that i cannot recommend it enough. i want to encourage all of you to follow the passion inside of you, please take that humanities class that your parents think is a waste of time. i promise you will find more value inside of an english literature , or an art, philosophy, or any of the other amazing humanity classroom, then you will filling your schedules with things society as a whole deems “worthwhile” pickup a minor in a field you love, and you may catch a glimpse into a world you couldn’t imagine, and i promise you’ll love it. thanks for reading, -syhn
