どのような側面であれ、全てに存在意義があります ✨古いものが幼いもの(新しいもの)を守り、(新しいもの)幼いものが古いものを慈しむ - それが万物の道なのです✨ The environment at Mitsumine is extremely fresh and pure — completely different from the city, where energy feels suppressed and gradually withers. If we view a land as a living energy collective, then Mount Fuji is the explosive energy point of Japan: it can bring destruction or deliver the dawn of great hope, all depending on how the energy of all things flows. Besides the official origin story in the Sansan Daengi (the shrine’s foundational legend), Mitsumine Shrine also holds a few lesser-known legends about “world peace.” In the Heian period, Kūkai (Kōbō Daishi) personally placed an Eleven-Faced Kannon statue on the mountain and built the Honji-dō (local hall) to pray for the peace and tranquility of the realm. Later, in the Kamakura period, the lord of the Chichibu region, Hatakeyama Shigetada, prayed here and received a miraculous response. In gratitude, he donated a vast territory spanning ten ri in all directions, making Mount Mitsumine a sacred site free from the control of any provincial governor. From then on, it became a revered spiritual sanctuary for the warriors of the eastern provinces. The two massive 800-year-old cedar trees standing in front of the shrine — known as the Shigetada Cedars — are living symbols of that great offering. From ancient legends and historical culture, Japan has preserved countless shrines and sacred sites to this day. These places connect and keep the entire land continuously “alive.” In fact, they can be said to be among the very few regions in the world that still retain vast, transparent, and pure energy. Looking out from the crystal-clear blue sky above Mitsumine, one can see countless sparkling circular energy particles, swirling and orbiting around each other like the hexagonal structure of a honeycomb — a beauty that words simply cannot describe. On the very first day, I especially wanted to buy the white “Ki” energy amulet, but it had been discontinued! In the end, I could only choose from the other two colors. One was taken by my beloved sister — the blue one (water energy). The other one I’ll keep for now, because it simply doesn’t feel like it belongs to me. From the lowest point — the sunset coast at Shirahige Shrine — all the way to the “Sky Power Spot” of the Kantō region at Mitsumine Shrine, every person, thing, and moment on this journey has allowed me to once again understand all the different facets and fascinating connections of this world. I am deeply grateful. The world becomes what it is precisely because of these connections. No matter what form they take, each has its own meaning and purpose. The old protects the young, and the young takes care of the old. This is the Way of All Things.
