There are some countries whose Nexplanon equivalents are 2 rods! I have had several patients with these that came from outside the US.

The gyn implanted my Nexplanon too deep and it was bent in my arm and I needed surgery to get it taken out because it was encapsulated in my muscle The worst experience ever!

I started gyn in 2006 and remember removing the old norplants 5 or 6 rods that had been in for 10 or 15 yrs they'd fall all apart took forever to get them out.

Crazy how they made people bleed non stop but without nexplanon I bleed non stop from cysts. It’s honestly been my life saving medication
