You bring up a great point, the difference between staying together vs forgiving/truly reconciling with your partner. That’s the heartbreaking part - I’m still with my wife but 2+ years later I’m still not over her cheating and I fear she’s killed that special thing we used to have that was only between us. That appears to be gone forever after 21 years and four kids.
